hiatus

Since good old kefir gave up blogging, I've felt no desire to blog myself. Even this post isn't written with the old eagerness I once had.

So what's my problem? A lack of motivation? Some sort of writer's block? Neurosis?

I'm not sure, but there's nothing here for me right now, and that's who it's all about, me.

Point is, I had to eat some other blogger's hearts to even get the motivation for this post.

Maybe I'll come back full time soon.

See you chumps later.

I finally saw V for Vendetta today. I've been wanting to see it for a long time, being a big fan of graphic novel adaptations/overcoming sinister governments/Natalie Portman. It was really, really good. Probably the best movie I've seen since Garden State. Towards the end of the movie I was so happy I honestly thought I might cry. But everyone should go see it. I'm probably going to get the graphic novel.

I hate to always post such thoughtless stuff on here, but if I ever come up with something thoughtful I forget it. Oh well, such is life.

Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves. ~Abraham Lincoln

Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.
-Benjamin Franklin
Patriot Act wins final approval in Congress

If the goal of terrorist's was to destroy the American way of life, they have in all ways won the war. The governemnt in 4 years has taken away every right we had. They want to keep us safe but all that has happened is the government abusing laws to shut down businesses and people that before 2001 they had no means of controlling. At one point in the article it says "curb abuse of methamphetamines, a highly addictive drug." Now, I have never heard of meth comming from anywhere but the usa, most of it comes out of places like Iowa. It doesnt support terrorism, but without the violation of rights, the government can't raid your house with no worrant. But remember, its just to keep you safe. What bothers me almost as much as this going into law, is how little most people care about it. Political apathy will cause the total downfall of the USA. When no one cares enough to change, when they have the power to, they will loose that power faster than they could ever realise.

I would rather have my rights and die fighting a terrorist, than trust the government to protect me.

I'll Play Krum.

Hermione and the Corona of Fire

Now I'm not sure if that's true, but I think it's quite funny. I really liked the last HP movie, and if Emma Watson can co-star in a hit movie, why can't she have a little drink to unwind herself?

And she's cute, and I'm not sure I've ever done a post where someone's cuteness has been a factor in anything.

Does that wreck my blogging integrity?
No.
Did I have any blogging integrity to begin with?
Yeah, but it vanished after I posted a photo featuring myself holding a fake firearm.
