lend me your sorrows
I suppose it's slightly appropriate that I'm choosing to post this on Valentine's Day.
I was going to compile a playlist of sad songs, and I was hoping for some suggestions. I only have a few right now, but here they are in no particular order.
Ben Folds Five- Brick
Clem Snide- Your Favorite Music
The Decemberists- Red Right Ankle
Gary Jules- Mad World
The Get Up Kids- Valentine
Guster- I Hope Tomorrow Is Like Today
Don Mclean- Starry Starry Night
Neutral Milk Hotel- King of Carrot Flowers Part 1
Neutral Milk Hotel- Oh Comely
Neutral Milk Hotel- Two Headed Boy Part 2
Sigur Ros- Staralfur
The Streets- Dry Your Eyes
Sufjan Stevens- Romulus
Sufjan Stevens- Flint (For the Unemployed and Underpaid)
Sufjan Stevens- Casimir Pulaski Day
Weezer- Butterfly
Alkaline Trio- Radio
My musical taste is very cyclical, and I suspect it changes with the seasons. I don't know if I have SAD or anything, but nothing gets me down like the dog days of winter.
listening to: They Might Be Giants- Road Movie To Berlin

Wes suggested the traditional Danny Boy. I scoffed, and he said, "it's about a kid who dies and his father is sitting on his grave. I dont think it gets any sadder."
